Mutant Abilities:
Peter’s abilities aren’t mutations, but the result of an irradiated spider bite when he was 15. Peter possesses the proportionate strength, speed and agility of a spider. He can lift/press over 15 tons, can jump over 30 feet straight up, and is perhaps the fastest/most agile person alive, save for his daughter. He possesses a sixth sense he dubbed his ‘spider sense’ that warns him of impending personal danger. His fingers and toes extrude talons that can pierce steel and allow him to climb on walls. His forearms and calves possess talons (two each) that are long and curve in towards himself. They are coated with a narcotic drug that knocks anyone cut or poked out. He also possesses fangs that contain a hallucinogenic drug. His forearms contain his own natural spinnerets, one on each upper and lower wrist, and his body makes natural webbing, the consistency of he has learned to manipulate from a fine web-line to mesh netting. He also helped create a pair of web-shooters that will protect the delicate spinnerets and also advance his weaponry, as mentioned below.

In addition to his blades and talons, Peter’s webshooters collect the webbing from his upper spinners and add a chemical to it to make impact webbing. Small pellets fire from the shooter and soon as it hits something, it grows over it; the more the target moves the faster it grows and clings. Also drawing on his body, the shooters take his sedative and coat small 3-inch darts that he can shoot at attackers, knocking them out without engaging them.

Physical Description: Peter is relatively short compared to most others, but his powers are very well rounded, giving him an edge or a chance against nearly any opponent. His body is one muscle, and his reflexes are the fastest on the planet, since his spider-sense influences him in ways other’s simply can’t be. Thanks to the genetic nature of his physical changes, Peter’s metabolism is so screwed up that he doesn’t age normally. At 52 he looks 25, and shows no sign of slowing down.

Family: His mother and father were U.S. government spies who died long before the Apocalypse. His Aunt May and Uncle Ben died in the explosion at Osborn Chemicals. His ex-wife Gwen died in the final battle with Apocalypse. His daughter May is a member of X-Calibre.

History:
Peter got his powers when the Osborn chemical plant blew up while Norman Osborn was attempting to harness a new energy source from another dimension. Everyone in Queens died except for Peter Parker and Roderick Kingsley, who bonded with the demonic alien energy to become the horrible, rotting Hobgoblin, leader of the Hellfire Club. For many years Peter kept his powers a secret, went on to school and earned masters degrees and PhD’s in a variety of fields before taking a scientists job and marrying Gwen Stacy. This was his life until the Apocalypse finally blew into the US, taking their way of life away and forcing them to make tough choices.

Gwen chose the Human High Council over Peter and their growing daughter, Gwendolyn May Parker, who was a mutant who’s X-factor reacted badly with her father’s irradiated blood, and was turning into a full spider as she grew. With Gwen gone, Peter took May to New York, in the rubble of Queens, and became Kaine, a dark protector of the city. He had a run in with the Punisher early on, then finally had a run in with a man named Stalker, who led him to others in X-Calibre who took Peter and May in and cured her. Since then he’s been with the team and happier than he’s ever been in his long life. He is also a reserve Avenger, invited to join by Captain America, but not accepting.
